How much do the basic elements of protection cost for a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine?
The state provides mobilized citizens with everything they need, which is included in the so-called basic uniform kit.
The publication has published prices for ammunition for the military as of October 2024.
Thus, a helmet costs from 15 to 20 thousand hryvnias, tactical headphones — 7-15 thousand UAH, a plate carrier with plates costs from 20 to 40 thousand UAH.

Other security features have the following price:
- Kevlar — 2000 UAH;
- Groin protection — 4000 UAH;
- Belt with ballistic insert — 9500 UAH;
- Camouflage suit — 4000 UAH.
As for other details of the ammunition of an Armed Forces serviceman in October 2024, a backpack costs about 2000 hryvnias, a sleeping bag is about 1500, a multi-tool is 1000, and a thermal imager price range is 40 to 60 thousand hryvnias.
