Hacksaw Ridge (2016)

The plot is based on the true story of American Private Desmond Tom Doss, who refused to take up arms for religious reasons but became a front-line medic. At the Battle of Okinawa, he saved 75 men and became the only person to receive the Medal of Honor without firing a single shot.

The plot of the film recreates the events of the Dunkirk evacuation that took place in France at the beginning of World War II. The story shows how human strength and heroism overcame the deadlock and saved thousands of lives.
