Another modern automobile checkpoint will be opened on the border between Ukraine and Poland. It will greatly facilitate border crossing for thousands of passengers and cargo.

This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal via his Telegram channel.

Where the new checkpoint will be opened

On December 20, 2024, the Nyzhankovychi — Malkhovychi checkpoint will start operating, serving both passenger and freight transport. The possibility of pedestrian crossing will be available after the construction of the necessary infrastructure is completed. According to Shmyhal, the launch of the Nyzhankovychi — Malkhovychi line will help

  • expand the potential of Ukrainian exports;
  • improve economic cooperation between the two countries;
  • reduce the load on existing border crossings.

"We continue to develop trade and economic ties between our countries," the Prime Minister emphasized.

The opening of the Nyzhankovychi — Malkhovychi line will be another proof of the successful cooperation between the two countries in building joint infrastructure and developing good neighborly relations between Ukraine and Poland.

What else Ukrainians should know

Earlier, we wrote that in 2025, new requirements for entering the EU will come into force. Starting next year, border crossings with these countries will be subject to fees.

We also told you that Ukrainians who are going to travel abroad should keep in mind the list of items that are not recommended to take with them. You may not be allowed to travel with them.
