The creators of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, the Ukrainian studio GSC Game World, wished players a Merry Christmas. They also added a short story about one of the stalkers to their greeting.

The studio published the congratulations in a post on X (Twitter).

How the development studio congratulated Ukrainian players

The studio has published a video with a greeting depicting a snowy Zone with a view of the Energetik Palace of Culture.

The video features the classic Christmas song "Shchedryk" by Mykola Leontovych. In the West, it is known as Carol of the Bells, and is performed by the Lviv folk band "Pyrih i Batih". In keeping with the spirit and atmosphere of the game, the composition is performed in a rather masculine style.

The story itself, which is complemented by the studio's greeting, tells the story of a seasoned stalker who has returned to a long-abandoned apartment in Pripyat, sitting in front of a surviving window from which you can see the Energetik Palace of Culture on the horizon.

According to rumors, the snowy location of the Zone appeared in the early files of the game, but it is not in the release. It is likely that it may appear in future expansion packs.

We would like to remind you that GSC Game World received an award from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. It was given for an important contribution to the popularization of Ukraine in the international arena.

We also wrote that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl was released on November 20. More than one million copies were sold in less than two days.
