The employees of the Territorial Recruitment Center caught taking bribes in Kyiv

Employees of the Holosiivskyi District Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centers were detained in Kyiv, who helped conscripts evade mobilization. Other officials are also involved in the scheme.

This was reported by the press service of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office for Defense on Thursday, October 24.

Large-scale corruption in the Holosiivskyi TRC

According to law enforcement officials, three employees of the TRC, the former head of the military medical commission, and two civilians have been reported in suspicion of bribery and unauthorized interference in information systems.

The investigation materials indicate that the detainees organized a scheme to help conscripts avoid mobilization for a reward of 8.5 thousand US dollars. They promised to register the men with a certain TRC, issue temporary certificates and enter data into the Unified Register of Conscripts and Reservists.

"Law enforcement officers detained the suspects while receiving the second part of the funds in the amount of 4 thousand US dollars," the report says.

It is noted that during the searches, more than 1.2 million US dollars, 45 thousand euros in cash, mobile phones, draft records, RTRC seals, military tickets and 11 business-class cars were seized.

"A complex of investigative and search actions was carried out, more than 40 simultaneous searches," the Prosecutor's Office added.

As a reminder, the head of the TRC in Ternopil demanded an illegal benefit from an entrepreneur for a deferral of military service.

And in the city of Volodymyr, Volyn region, a TRC employee demanded a bribe from the company for booking employees.
