Design and display

The big story here is size and weight. The S25 FE weighs 190 grams (11% lighter than last year's model) and is just 7.4 millimeters thin. Its slim bezels give it a modern look, and its Armor Aluminum sides and Victus+ glass make it durable. The 6.7-inch, 120-hertz AMOLED display remains smooth and now gets brighter, reaching a peak brightness of 1,900 nits for better outdoor visibility.

Camera

The only significant upgrade is the 12MP selfie camera with a better sensor for sharper shots. Although the hardware may seem familiar, Samsung relies on its AI features, such as Generative Edit, Instant Slow-mo, and Audio Eraser, to provide a more modern experience.

Performance and battery

Under the hood, the phone uses the Exynos 2400, an upgrade from last year's 2400e, which was slightly weaker. It’s paired with a larger-than-before 4,900mAh battery and 45W fast charging, which finally makes its way to the FE line.

Samsung has also upgraded the cooling system with a larger vapor chamber to maintain consistent performance.

Software

The Galaxy S25 FE is the first phone in the S25 lineup to ship with One UI 8 (Android 16) and offers the same software experience. Thanks to Samsung’s new seven-year update policy, this phone is set to stay current well into the next decade. Since it launches with newer software, it will receive an extra year of updates compared to the other S25 models.
